Welcome to the home of the Skye Food & Drink Festival

One of Scotland’s most popular visitor destinations, the Isle of Skye, is world-renowned for its rugged coastlines; its wild landscapes; its ancient history of violent clan warfare, neolithic brochs, Viking invasions; 170million-year-old dinosaur fossils; and its iconic Cuillin mountain ranges.

It is the Island’s unique geographical and historical position that has allowed its people to cultivate and catch its rich natural harvest and produce the exceptional quality of food and drink grown, harvested, produced and served on the Isle of Skye.

The Skye Food & Drink Festival, which takes place this year between 24 and 29 June, is a showcase for the premium quality food and drink that can be found on the Isle of Skye.

For the past two years, the festival was based at the Aros Centre, Portree, but, for 2019, has extended its reach and expanded its venues to become an Island-wide celebration of some of the finest food and drink produce in Scotland.

This year’s festival includes a seafood-themed festival launch at An Crubh, Duisdale, on 24 June; an Island-wide food and drink trail (24 to 27 June); a festival market and artisan café with local and visiting producers at Broadford Hall (28 and 29 June); and demonstrations and masterclasses at the Aros Centre in Portree throughout the week.
